The Sandpit & Digging Patch

We have 2 areas in the playground to dig in - the sandpit and our digging patch / mud kitchen.

The sandpit is spacious and has space for many children to enjoy digging, making sandcastles and sand pies. We also have a digger to sit on, lots of spades, rakes, buckets and trucks to use. There is a hose right next to the sandpit so wet sand is often used.

The digging patch / mud kitchen has a wooden kitchen and real pots and pans to cook elaborate mud dishes.
